Aspen Cycling Criterium

Fourth of July Skating Exhibition

Aspen Summer Skate Adult Week

Surrounded by the splendors of the Rocky Mountains, the Aspen Summer Skate Adult Week has proven time and time again to be the skating experience of a lifetime. The combination of unique on and off ice classes combine the principle of solid, never-fail skating technique with new and different ways of accessing the "skater within." Enrollment is limited.

Aspen High Country Triathlon / Duathlon

Swimming, Biking, Running! Presented in cooperation with the town of Avon, Colorado, the race is part of the High Country Series. This multi-sport event consists of an 800-yard swim, 9-Mile bike (gaining 1,500 feet) and a 4-mile run in the Elk Mountain range and the scenic Maroon Creek Valley. The ARC will serve as the transition/staging area for the entire race.

Aspen Renewable Energy Day

The mission of American Renewable Energy DAY (AREDAY) is to promote education and awareness of renewable energy and energy efficient technologies as practical solutions to global warming.

Founded in 2004, AREDAY works in partnership with Sustainable Settings, the City of Aspen, the Community Office for Resource Efficiency, Pitkin County, the Intertribal Council On Utility Policy and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory to:

  • Promote public understanding and involvement in the local, regional and national efforts to reduce green house gas emissions that contribute to global warming and climate change.
  • Identify, encourage and promote appropriate renewable energy development locally, regionally and nationally.
  • Coordinate fundraising for selected AREDAY events.
  • Supervise and ensure the completion of all AREDAY event projects.
  • Foster cooperative and mutually productive relationships among the community and governmental agencies to accomplish the AREDAY mission.

29th Annual Vasque Golden Leaf Half Marathon

Chosen by Trail Runner Magazine as one of "America's 14 most scenic races", the Golden Leaf is one of the most beautiful foot races in the Rockies. This 13.3 mile half marathon traverses from Snowmass Village to the heart of Aspen on mountain trails and roads at the height of Colorado's breathtaking fall colors.

The Golden Leaf is a part of Fall in Love with Aspen/Snowmass.
