About the Fourth of July Celebration
Aspen celebrates Independence Day with a whimsical twist. Approximately 20,000 local residents and visitors come together to honor the nation's birthday in true American style. Festivities include a parade, U.S. Airforce jet flyby, concerts, a kid's bicycle rodeo, and spectacular fireworks on Aspen Golf Course.Snowmass shows its patriotic colors with this free holiday extravaganza to entertain the whole family. This weekend includes live music on Fanny Hill, Movies and a whole lot more. Come for the weekend and explore all the on-mountain fun, plus golf, disc golf, hiking, biking trails, and western adventure that awaits July 4th revelers.

Friday, July 4th- 8 a.m. Boogie's Diner Buddy 5 Mile Race
- Register early $30 per adult; after May 31st $40; day of $50; Kids 16 and under $15 More infomration on the Buddy Program
- 9:15 a.m. One-Mile Family/Canine Walk Race

- Aspen Art Museum's complimentary picnic, innovative parade float, and exhibitions by internationally renowned contemporary artists Aida Ruilova and Friedrich Kunath (AAM, 970-925-8050)
- 1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Aspen Highlands 4th of July Family BBQ, Aspen Highlands Village

- The celebration continues...please join the Aspen Chamber on Saturday, July 5th on the Cooper Ave. Mall / Wagner Park Plaza for more music and dancing. Free and open to the public.
